Wednesday's TTT was amazing for me. The work we've been doing with AI over the past several months -- since March, really. Anyway it was affriming to have a student, a senior in high school, who had done some careful thinking about AI and ChatGPT, say that we had given the bot the knowledge it needs and that we were leveling the playing field when it came to college admission essays. I felt the work was being seen, appreciated, and endorsed. Her comments fuel my ambition to get the word out about what we can do together on NowComment and on Youth Voices.

Title: I wrote this for the NWP Studio
From the get-go on Wednesday evening's TTT meetup, a student, Sidhi Dhanda established her confident, centered expertise with her own thinking and writing processes -- and with her growing sophistication in her use of ChatGPT as an editor for her writing.
After spending this time getting to know Sidhi and her use of ChatGPT, we shifted to showing her and the others with us on TTT some of the work we have been doing with designing prompts for OpenAI's Large Language Models with intellectual frameworks. In particular, we read through some of the AI feedback that Chris Sloan's student received on their college admission essays -- and their reflections on that feedback.
Toward the end of our hour together, Sidhi recognized what we are trying to do, and she made remarkable connections. Her notion that we might be leveling the playing field for students who do not have access to private tutors on their college admission essay inspires us all to get knowledgeable AI tutors into the hands of students everywhere.
We will pick up here on TTT this Wednesday evening, September 27th at 9E/8C/7M/6P https://kumospace.com/youthvoices.. Join us! https://studio.nwp.org/share/WQC4-TYkvWVYlypY?utm_source=manual
