People in support of book banning often dislike the representation of LGBTQ communities in literature and the idea that children are reading about living alternative life styles.
Removing books in school libraries is one thing, but removing books from public libraries challenges our right to free speech when not everyone is catered to.
Most often, the material being removed from shelves involves LGBTQ and African American communities.
