welding, maybe your future career?

Hearing the buzz of the machine as i burn through an electrode, molten metal splattering everywhere on my leathers. I'm wearing a leather welding jacket not only to protect myself from hot metal but also from the bright blue UV rays emitting from the electrode, while my auto darkening helmet helps me see what I'm welding.

Welding; fusing two pieces of metal together with fire or electricity. It's a fun process whether your oxygen-acetylene (oxy-ace) welding, sick welding, mig welding, or tig welding. The type of welding you do is based on the type of metal as well as the thickness. Most of the money to be made welding is through tig welding aluminum, or stick welding steel. Not to say we don't use the other processes like mig and oxygen-acetylene. It's just that oxy-ace is really just used for arts and crafts because it doesn't create a structurally sound weld. And a mig welder is mostly used to the same extent of an oxy-ace welder, but mig welding creates a better weld, provided you get the machines settings right. But honestly tig welding and stick welding are the processes you want to learn if u want to make money. However a great welder is a person who can get on any machine and craft a spectacular weld!
