I met you in math class. It was the first day of school, I was shaking, my heart was racing,

but you just faced me and said hello

you should have said hello, warning, don’t get too attached because I’ll take your heart and won’t give it back. And you will get lost in my eyes so it would be wise to turn away now. Save yourself before it’s too….late

not once did we talk about us or we

so I decided that it was best to leave you be but you wouldn’t give up that eas­i­ly, see

you had a way with words like no other guy that I have ever met.

The sentences would just fall out your mouth, into my ears, up in my mind… I hear it all the time

I heard it all the time

I still hear it all the time I say that I’m fine

But I’m stuck here crying

trying to pick up the broken pieces of my heart that you left. And ​I’m​the stupid one for believing the lie that you possessed how could I have lost someone who wasn’t even mine?

But love is just an illusion right?

It is something we make up in our minds to help us sleep at night

...or keep us awake.

Why are we chasing something that doesn’t exist.

And if you ask me I’m sick of it.

Why should we rely on someone else to love us

Isn’t loving yourself enough?

Love yourself because you can’t break your heart Love yourself because you’re the only one you’ve got

Love yourself because relying on other people to love you only leads to letdowns and salty tears and false sympathy and sad poetry and lots and lots

Love yourself and someone will come along who will cherish you because you are a princess So princess get some rest tonight

Princess please just hold on tight Princess you are worth the fight Princess he is is just not right

Princess stop searching for happily ever afters and fairytales because if prince charming is too blincd to spot a princess when he see’s one then he is not worth the story.
