Past Simple i Past Continuous - razlika

Obično ih povezujemo rečju 'while'=dok primer: I was watching a film while my husband was washing dishes :o) prevod: Gledala sam film dok je moj muž prao sudove :o)
  • Past Continuous ili Past Progressive se gradi na sledeći način: S + TO BE (prošlo vreme) + PRESENT PARTICIP (glagol sa nastavkom ing) što znači Subjekat, glagol to be u prošlom vremenu i glagol sa nastavkom -ing primer: I was waching a film. You were singing. She was crying. He was helping her. It was barking. (bark=lajati) We were reading. You were writing an email. They were ironing. (iron = peglati)
Were you watching TV while your husband was ironing? ako je potrebno da koristimo upitnu reč (ko=who, šta=what, gde=where, kad=when ...) onda nju stavimo na početak: What were you doing while your husband was ironing?
