i dont belive this was the best play ever the man talkes about how this play was one over the best plays at its time
mr Jeorme pope(Apr 13 2017 10:36AM):
i agree with what he said about the play being able to tie to our real life and things that we are going through in our lives
mr Jeorme pope(Apr 13 2017 10:39AM):

mr Jeorme pope(Apr 13 2017 10:43AM):

Gary Tuione(Apr 13 2017 10:44AM):
I agree that only men and women has the free will and actions to either go up to heaven or down to hell and Shakespeare in "Othello" used different characters who either went to heaven or hell such as Desdemona(heaven) Iago(hell) Othello(hell) Emilia(up)
Johanna Paraiso(Apr 18 2017 9:54AM):
Alex Garcia: I agree with the statement that Shakespeare changes our minds because it opened mines to look at words to see if they could potentially have another meaning.
Johanna Paraiso(Apr 18 2017 9:55AM):
Alex Garcia: Shakespeare helps visualize simply be having words and phrases put in a order that can tigger one's visual thoughts while reading.
Rayondre Adanandus(Apr 21 2017 10:22AM):
I agree that all shakespeare main characters were leader and are natural born leaders. Like Othello was a leader of all the people
San Ly(Apr 24 2017 10:01AM):
I'm not being changed much after reading Shakespeare's language, but knowing Early Middle English and an unique way of writing, giving me a lot of impression.
San Ly(Apr 24 2017 10:05AM):
I do believe all the book were written by Shakespeare are ones of the best, and still popular. Shakespeare's language express character's emotion in a very gentle (academic way) which is hard to find in another writers during this time.
San Ly(Apr 24 2017 10:08AM):
First time reading Shakespeare's language didn't make me feel as good as this gentleman did. All in my mind were keep working on it, because it's a part of your grade. But later on, after I read the first act, I found the story was interesting.
Natalie Guzman Santoyo(Apr 24 2017 4:24PM):
I agree that shakespeare has changed my thinking because I am open minded now I can see things from different perspectives.
Natalie Guzman Santoyo(Apr 24 2017 4:32PM):
Shakespeare has a way to portray real life scenarios in a way that has more feel to it. In a way that gets the students thinking about life.
Aric Black(Apr 25 2017 9:57PM):
I agree with Roberts Shakespeare did help me understand things that I would not be able to understand now but it was not a dramatic change.
Mariah Velez(Apr 18 2017 10:18AM):
"I thought I was going to be a painter"
more
It’s interesting that someone who hasn’t heard about Shakespeare, who wanted to be a artist/painter would suddenly be interested in Hamlet, and have that one play change his life
Valeria Fernandez(Apr 13 2017 10:33AM):
He sounds so passionate about his first experience with Shakespeare, I wish if I would have been this happy and emotional when I first read on of his play, Othello.
Guadalupe Ramirez(Apr 17 2017 1:09PM):
I agree with this because Shakespeare plays makes people relate to them because he talks about things that all humans do and go threw .
MR Anthony Hall(Apr 13 2017 10:03AM):
he felt as that when he looked from a Shakespeer characters lens he had more of and in depth thought about things around him.
Valeria Fernandez(Apr 13 2017 10:38AM):
It's obvious he has not read, Othello and Romeo and Juliet. I believe these two plays are very brilliant plays and great written but the plot to me are not very good just because women people end up losing in both. I do understand though why he loves him
Mr. Kamron Clark(Apr 13 2017 11:24AM):
He created a group in high school to reacted the acts scene in the book shakespeare and other books that were similiar to it
Ahmir Blackburn(Apr 13 2017 10:17AM):
I agree because shakespeare did help me understand a little bit of how the world works and let me know it's not just me
Guadalupe Ramirez(Apr 17 2017 1:11PM):
I agree with this the plays of Shakespeare's makes you think deeper into the things that are being said and see many ways of interpreting what he means.
Emmanuel Ruiz Cruz(Apr 18 2017 10:06AM):
Throughout the process of understanding and studying Shakespeare, people are more likely to understand themselves at a deeper level
Mariah Velez(Apr 18 2017 10:28AM):
"Shakespeare affects the right side of your brain"
[Edited]more
It’s interesting to hear that there was a study that occurred in an university that was learning about Shakespeare and how it could help improve your brain. It went to explain about how fast someone could learn in words or give a thought, and reading Shakespeare could help really improve the speed and understanding of many different words
Rayondre Adanandus(Apr 18 2017 10:04AM):
I agree that Shakespeare changes the brain because it made me think of things in different ways and it made me go about things different and his way of words advanced my vocabulary
Nuong Vo(Apr 13 2017 11:34PM):
Wow...Shakespeare changing people's minds because researchers found that his work affects the human's right hemisphere of the brain. I think thats interesting.
Valeria Fernandez(Apr 13 2017 10:44AM):
It is very interesting that this happens to our brain when we read Shakespeare. It's amazing how one man is able to change minds like that just with writing, this shows how intelligent Shakespeare was.
Mariah Velez(Apr 18 2017 10:37AM):
"Shakespeare is being spoken in every country"
more
I agree with what he is saying, since Shakespeare was the first person to make up words that made sense to humans. I think what he means by saying everyone is speaking shakespeare is because his words are still being used today by almost everyone around the world
Nuong Vo(Apr 13 2017 11:43PM):
Shakespeare incorporated many religious aspects to this that I didn't really think about. Some who is trying to change their or someone else's position on the ladder from heaven or hell. Like what Othello was trying to do for Desdemona.
Guadalupe Ramirez(Apr 17 2017 1:16PM):
I feel like people relate to this because that's what we all trying to do just get a better job, better family etc. that's just how all humans are.
Nuong Vo(Apr 13 2017 11:41PM):
Someone who is trying to achieve happiness and trying to reduce their suffering.... Very interesting as I compare that quote to Othello and Romeo & Juliet it does make a lot of sense based on their actions so I would agree with him on this.
Kim Toli(Apr 13 2017 11:08AM):
shakespeare has this world's leader it consume him fascinate him and he wrote about it his whole career. it truth that achievement were made.
Nuong Vo(Apr 13 2017 11:51PM):
Shakespeare actually brings up more meaning behind leadership. With its stronger meanings it is able to show and be real. "The stress of leadership is burdening him", this quote applies many people in life even tho shakespeare was in a different era.
[Edited]
Mireya Amezcua(Apr 12 2017 9:32AM):
I never really thought about the perception Shakespeare had about leadership and can see it when reading Othello now.
Dania Pugh(Apr 12 2017 9:35AM):
If I agree or disagree and why
more
I agree to the latter that he is referring to it’s like what the students at fremont do. Here at Fremont I feel like If you don’t try to change your position on the latter than you really not living.
Mireya Amezcua(Apr 12 2017 9:36AM):
It's crazy how it allows us to use so much of our brain without noticing. I wonder how much change people encountered once they finished Othello.
Dania Pugh(Apr 12 2017 9:42AM):
If I agree or disagree and why
more
I agree that achievement is made and not born in, meaning just because you were born into royalty doesn’t mean I can’t earn my fair share and become royal. Working hard and becoming something teaches you what you are made of and what is your highest point you can go.
Mireya Amezcua(Apr 12 2017 9:43AM):
As he said if you repeat and and gage in what you believe, what is expected to happen..will happen. To speak Shakespeare is what everyone should do because then you can accomplish everything you want.
Kenyon McTear(Apr 12 2017 10:29AM):
When Guy Roberts say's Shakespeare changed the world I disagree with that because I believe he changed are level of language he added more words and phrases to it. Not changing the world though, Shakespeare just give people other looks about things .
[Edited]more
Like looks on how he portray or think people are portrayed as he did in the play Othello. I would not say he changed the world though cause that comes with a lot all he really did was come up with more words that we did not have. The plays he has there are plenty of plays like that so yea I disagree with him
Kenyon McTear(Apr 12 2017 10:32AM):
I really do not agree when they talk about the brain. Shakespeare died many many years ago sow how do yall know for sure what he say and did can change the minds of people? Or how they think
Pablo Lopez(Apr 12 2017 10:35AM):
i agree with the fact that he say shakespeare changes young peoples brain. because ive experienced these changes and actually it changed the way i think about reading now.
Kenyon McTear(Apr 12 2017 10:49AM):
I agree that Shakespeare and his plays make you think differently about some situations and how things play out. It make you wanna dig deeper into situations and really find out what's going on
[Edited]
Lizet Hernandez(Apr 12 2017 10:52AM):
For what it looks like it seems that Shakespeare has impacted people with his plays and Guy Roberts specifically says that he was touch by Shakespeare in the play of Hamlet.
Lizet Hernandez(Apr 12 2017 11:00AM):
Perhaps because of his language and the way Shakespeare explain things better he has made the reader read more in depth and get into the mindset of visualization.
Lizet Hernandez(Apr 12 2017 11:03AM):
Changing the world for a good seems like a good way to go. Although I do feel like people by reading will gain a more liberal knowledge and be open minded about everything. Shakespeare plays are based on treason, death, love and it is all about tragedy.
Tomas Beltran Castro(Apr 13 2017 8:44AM):
I'm impressed by how much the old English affects the brain, this is a big part of the brain that it is being affected, the right part of the brain would be in charge of memories, logic, creativity and calculations.

Ms. Leidy Martin(Apr 13 2017 9:05AM):
I didn't know that books could changes lives from a big goal and more from shakespeare which is different kind of book different from the rest of other books.
Tomas Beltran Castro(Apr 13 2017 9:09AM):
His analysing is pretty deep, he explains how shakespeare is more of like a business, and it is still used to teach because it is very helpful and it is good for business.
Ilda Ortega-Gomez(Apr 13 2017 9:09AM):
I mostly agree with Guy Roberts when he said that Shakespeare changed him because I it made me think about society as a whole, people's identities and their beliefs.
Ebz Martinez(Apr 13 2017 9:14AM):

On shakespeare helping to make their lives better and their communities better. It may or may not have helped him but that’s not going to be the case for the majority of people
Ilda Ortega-Gomez(Apr 13 2017 9:15AM):
I think the study that Guy Roberts mentioned about Shakespeare affecting the right side of the brain is very amazing because it affects human beings- their memory, this is huge because it impacts people's experiences.
Ilda Ortega-Gomez(Apr 13 2017 9:17AM):
I agree that Shakespeare does affect young brains, because I can personally relate. It changed my brain because I started thinking more deeply about certain things regarding religion, gender, race, etc.
Someone doesn’t necessarily have to find “God” or “Hell” to change themselves. This is being a little arrogant in terms of inclusivity to life changing situations that apply to non-believers or Atheists.
Ms. Leidy Martin(Apr 13 2017 9:21AM):
In ever story od shakespeare there is always a theme where person want have a happiness and want something but there is always something in the way. I like the way it have the same theme but in different ways of telling the story.

With that it changes people life by thinking and talking like shakespeare. He makes a difference to everybody.

Shakespeare’s words have changed the way we look at things that he is being taught in every language by hundreds what is it? He did more than just write plays but he has these characters individuals that need help and sometimes find it in the wrong person but the go through life changing experinces that either makes us like or dislike them in each one of the plays but why? Because the only way to get real people intrigued use real stories they can relate to minus the sword fighting
Lilian Mancia Castillo(Apr 13 2017 10:58AM):
shakespeare changed Roberts life he thought he was going to a painter and when experienced shakespeare through Olivier things changed for him to good.
Lilian Mancia Castillo(Apr 13 2017 11:04AM):
Experiencing shakespeare answer questions people asks and insecurities. I think that shakespeare plays makes people feel relieve and its a motivation they get.

After watching this video I ask myself since shakespeare writes a lot of plays that relates to real life and this was 400 something year ago , how was the plays thought about?
Jorge Padron-Vargas(Apr 20 2017 10:21AM):
The reason why shakespeare is still relevant today is because these stories are fantasy mixed with reality which catches our attention. we love hearing stories and end up so interested into his stories.
