can we show videoes on in are presentation like if we have a video or short clip can we show during the presentation?
Kim Toli(Apr 25 2017 10:29PM):
the presentation are things that you have to memorize it and also have a clear slide that you know what are you talking about.
Marlini Mesui(May 01 2017 6:53PM):
First step to a good presentation is not to go in with a lot of stuff on your hands that could create a mess when you're nervous things would start falling off your hands.
Marlini Mesui(May 01 2017 6:55PM):
DO NOT WEAR FORMAL CLOTHES!!!!!!. I feel like this is an important message to everyone because wearing formal clothes can easily distract audience by the way you look. Unprofessional.
Marlini Mesui(May 01 2017 6:59PM):
Something that I found useful in this video is your body language. Your body language can draw people attention and if your body language is off so is the audiences.
Mireya Amezcua(May 03 2017 7:29AM):
It all seems so easy to do but when it comes down to that moment, all your nerves rack up. I guess it's a matter of staying calm.
Valeria Fernandez(May 04 2017 7:53PM):
I think doing any of these things will be very disrespectful to the audience. Also, it would reflect on who you really are, and that wouldn't look good for you as a person. This wouldn't be professional.
Jaymee Vaughn(Jun 01 2017 4:44AM):
I feel as though that you shouldn't be carrying a lot of things to your presentation alone as it is because you wouldn't want to damage anything you need for your presentation. Its better to plan ahead and already have what you need out.
Jaymee Vaughn(Jun 01 2017 4:48AM):
It is important to NOT read from your slides because they are not meant for the speaker to read from. The slides are backing up what the speaker is presenting just in case the listeners didn't understand the point clearly or wants to know a quick fact.

The audience will see how unprepared you are and will possibly get bored from your voice. Speaking from your mind vs reading aloud changes the tone in your voice which is bad
Ahmir Blackburn(Apr 25 2017 10:23PM):
I think that these things are obvious because these are things that you should have learned along time ago so I didn't find this as useful
Valeria Fernandez(May 04 2017 8:00PM):
I think this is very important to keep in mind. Having too much to read on your slide will bad because it means that the audience is not even going to listen to you they will have to read the board.
more
They will get bored with you very easy and just ignore what you have to say afterwards.
Jaymee Vaughn(Jun 01 2017 4:52AM):
Speaking with mono-tone voice sounds fake. The audience wouldn't be as engaged with what you are saying. The audience are looking to hear natural voices. Using a fake voice wouldn't make you topic sound important or interesting. It makes you sound

Valeria Fernandez(May 04 2017 8:06PM):
It's honestly not that easy though. When you're not used to presenting in front of people and have the pressure to do the best that you can to pass it's not that easy.

At this point you’re already nervous and barely able to talk so it’d be very hard to.
Ilda Ortega-Gomez(Apr 25 2017 6:12PM):
For the bad presentation examples, I can relate to some because I have a tendency to look at either my notes or board. I know this is a problem because I am demonstrating that I don't know what I'm presenting, so now what I will do is have simple

Dania Pugh(Apr 25 2017 12:15PM):
I can see why they did this video but they way wasn't the right way. They should have him actually presenting and then commenting(edits on video) so we can see what real life presenters do when they present. This was fake and so bad lighting.
Ilda Ortega-Gomez(Apr 25 2017 6:18PM):
I have noticed that a lot of people, (including myself) that haven't had much of public speaking experience tend to have bad body language. A solution to this I think would work best would be to practice at home or have people you know as audience to

Ilda Ortega-Gomez(Apr 25 2017 6:20PM):
A good presentation technique example I show strength in is having good visuals that illustrate my topic/ idea. I think this is very easy to have in a presentation because the only thing one has to do is connect relative images to what you are trying

Natalie Guzman Santoyo(Apr 25 2017 12:40PM):
I appreciate how Hussain Shafei used both references to good and bad presentation skills. It is helpful to visualise a presentation and actually see what is being done.
Natalie Guzman Santoyo(Apr 25 2017 12:42PM):
I can relate to some of the bad presentation skills, which now that I can see how it looks, I can now improve and adjust certain points.

Natalie Guzman Santoyo(Apr 25 2017 12:47PM):
There are helpful tips to keep the audience entertained, which would be a good idea to take into consideration. Example, when Hussain Shafei suggested to use handouts throughout the presentation.
Lizet Hernandez(Apr 25 2017 12:50PM):
I can relate to a bad example of giving an oral presentation it has happened to me before. I did not know I was not supposed to put paragraphs in each slide because it will look boring or "I'm not prepared" These are great examples of common mistakes.
Lizet Hernandez(Apr 25 2017 12:55PM):
This makes me more aware of the techniques I should use before giving an oral presentation. Although, I do believe that the first impression matters because coming with a good energy and using body language to engage the audience counts a lot.
Student Agnes Kaufusi(Apr 25 2017 12:56PM):
Body posture and the tone of your voice while presenting is what will get the audience attention. With a topic that can seem like a bore, with the way you project, move your hands, & give facial expressions can brighten your presentation a bit.
Juray Perez Sanabria(Apr 25 2017 12:56PM):
In this i feel like i have done some of the things in this video where you are presenting badly and learning about the right way to do it does help me for my future presentation.
Lizet Hernandez(Apr 25 2017 12:57PM):
Whenever I start a presentation I get very nervous and I feel like I talk really fast. But hand gestures always seem to calm me down and I feel like the audience instead of looking at my face they look at my hands and it makes me feel more confident.
Student Agnes Kaufusi(Apr 25 2017 6:59PM):
Watching this video just makes me think about my senior presentation and the way I am going to present my ideal topic. But this video gives me another view on how I should be able to do it without hesitation. The main keys are fairly obvious points given.

i have a good outfit suit for my presentation. i feel like im ready to present my idea because ive been studying this topic for some time now,so you can say im an expert.
Kejahn Banks(Apr 25 2017 1:00PM):
Do not turn your back to the audience and don't read off the board because you will lose the audience attention and will seem to be nervous.
Student Agnes Kaufusi(Apr 25 2017 1:02PM):
This video made me remember about handouts. I forgot all about handouts and now I need to remember that so I can be more prepared with what I present. I think handouts can give you a booster so that maybe some of the audience questions can be answered.
Pablo Lopez(Apr 25 2017 1:02PM):
its very helpful how he shows both sides of a good and bad way to present. This will make us realize our mistakes so we can be perfect on the day to present.
Kenyon McTear(Apr 25 2017 1:02PM):
In the video is says do not where informal clothes. It shows the desk and nothing about his clothes so i'm confused on what clothes not to where
Kenyon McTear(Apr 25 2017 1:04PM):
When it says do not present a paragraph. What if you present a paragraph but you only summarize key points in? Or is that still bad
Pablo Lopez(Apr 25 2017 1:05PM):
I can relate with his ideas of a good presentation, ive done presentations where a group of people i didn't know .but it went well because my well prepared.
Kenyon McTear(Apr 25 2017 1:06PM):
Good energy so you mean like show enthusiasm like you are into our presentation and that you know what you are talking about and just not doing it for a grade
Ms. Leidy Martin(Apr 25 2017 2:42PM):
Being organize and facing the audience and know what you're saying is a good way to have a good perspective from the audience.
ms Noor Nasser(Apr 25 2017 2:48PM):
two bad examples are that you shouldn't carry a lot of stuff with you, and you shouldn't look straight at the board, you should make eye contact to gain interest from your audience.

Nuong Vo(Apr 25 2017 2:51PM):
Your body language is also very important and it needs to be appropriate. So do not fold your arms and you should stand up straight.
Ebz Martinez(Apr 25 2017 3:00PM):
This guy made me laugh when he turned his back on his audience. Most of these items i already knew because stage plays help you when you present.
Mariah Velez(Apr 26 2017 1:58PM):
I don't think you should really carry anything when you present something, you should already know what you are saying because you made your slides yourself
Mariah Velez(Apr 26 2017 2:02PM):
There was a lot more stuff you couldn't do during a presentation, but most of what the video said made sense since you want to make a good impression in what you are presenting

To keep your audience engaged in what you are presenting, you have to keep your slides nice and short. Your slides need to have the least amount of words possible. For instance, instead of having paragraphs you should have bullet points that show your key ideas of that certain slide you are presenting. You should also have some picture in your slides.
Student Walter Pablo(Apr 24 2018 2:37PM):
Apply all the examples we saw in the video about how to do a good presentation and not focus or apply one of the examples in how to do a bad presentation.

Student Walter Pablo(Apr 24 2018 2:41PM):
When we do our presentation, we have to make it ours, present relevant information and smile all the time. it can be nervous but we have to practice so we can perform a good presentation.
Student Walter Pablo(Apr 24 2018 2:43PM):
Have confidence on what you are saying because you don´t want be confused on the things you will be talking about. Show data and numbers so your audience will be surprised and be interested in your presentation.
Gustavo Xilonzochilt(Apr 24 2018 2:51PM):
when presenting the best you can show off a good impression on others that will help with boosting your confidence
Victor Munguia(Apr 24 2018 2:53PM):
The way you present yourself the day of the presentation is important because you want to make a good impression on your audience.
Victor Munguia(Apr 24 2018 2:54PM):
You want to make your slides short and easy to read so your audience does not get lost during your presentation with all the information.
