Ilda Ortega-Gomez Ilda Ortega-Gomez (Apr 27 2017 11:50AM) : The tone of Anthony's voice is monotoned. It seems as if his voice is unchanging in pitch, as if he is simply reading a book with no expression. I think Anthony didn't do very well in reading the poem the way he did because I noticed there was a lot of more

imagery, so I think what he should of done is add more expression to his tone.

Anthony Hopkins makes pauses in every new idea or sentence. He also doesn’t pace himself in the reading. Not pacing himself gave it a more devilish tone to the reading. I feel like if he were to read it in a different, it wouldn’t have that tone.

His volume differed from what people would typically enjoy hearing. I liked his volume because although it was a bit monotone, he would raise his voice in the key parts of the text. This was useful because it helped me understand the text thanks to this strategy.

Kenyon McTear Kenyon McTear (May 01 2017 12:56PM) : The volume affects the impact on the speaker words because words that he say when he wants you to understand something he say the word very calmly and he pauses for a minute while he is saying it
