Time, Amaranthine

Author: Sheri Edwards

Edwards, Sheri. “Day 571 Time, Amaranthine.” 1DR What Else?, 6 Oct. 2021, https://askwhatelse.blog/2021/10/04/day-571-time-amaranthine/.

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem.

About time… and us… “Time, Amaranthine” on the theme of time, story, humanity, peace through one cottonwood leaf in the ripples… of time.

On Sunday, we drove to Steamboat Rock State Park and this poem for this picture standing on the dock below the cottonwoods as the sun set seemed perfect. Enjoy, and let’s choose “together.”

This video I created first on Animoto.

And this one I created yesterday in Apple Keynote and exported it as a movie to upload to YouTube. The words are more clear, but I still couldn’t get the video to loop perfectly.

Time, Amaranthine

In spring, green
In summer, shade
In autumn, vibrance
In winter, rest
above, the clouds roll
below, the waves ripple
Seasons, noticed
Moments, unseen
Kinships, fused
Neighbors, divided
above, the clouds roll
below, the waves ripple
Time, it passes
Yours, so short
Life, remembered|
Legacy, ripples
above, the clouds roll
below, the waves ripple
Each, a story
Together, a history
Culture, a way
Humanity, a medley
above, the clouds roll
below, the waves ripple
Compassion, of diversity
Acceptance, for peace
Benevolence, for posterity
Amity, for progeny
