Mixed with the guilt of how hard he was on his son, and because this guy is new to the story – I think he is harder on the son then his fathers wants to be?

I think is unnecessary to show the rawness of the men, the guys together, when the illustrator has so many tools as his disposal, that disappoints me when this does not have to be included to make a point. Sheesh.

This is therapy for him – as he reasons out and looks back and reflects on his past. He did not see to be the type of person early in the story to ever do this.

This does seem to be very good insert of what he is contemplating- the whole scene of this being an alternating trip over the crop shapes below – etc – wasn’t sure of the importance of this.
