I used this song in a 50 minutes English lesson with class 10thD to introduce the topic “Fitting In” (UNIT: It’s a Teen’s World" and “Self-esteem” for the aquisition of vocabulary related to personality and to revise the formand use of the simple present, present continuous and simples past.
So it was a listening comprehension task followed by oral interaction on the message of the song that some students related to by giving examples.
The activity was followed by a discussion about difficulties that young people have to overcome to feel like they belong and the need to be sincere and believe in themselves.

Hi my name is Filip, me and my friends
we watched the video and here is what we think about it: By the end of the video we were almost crying it was very moving and touching. Sentimental!!! This video made us realize that you should never give up and what is also very important in your life – remember about to love your family and do it before they are gone.

We watched the video ’Unsung Hero". It is a touching lesson about kindness, about offering love and support unconditionally. The video presents different instances about how you can help both human or non-human beings: a little girl goes a long way, since she has been given a future, the dog has found a friend, the old woman – a son, the seller has found a helper, and the plant – its own source of existence. Being rich at heart and being rewarded with warm smiles is all that matters. The students reflected on the importance of being humane and they definitely felt more motivated to do more good deeds from now on.

We watched the video and for some of us it was very moving, we even shed some tears. After the video we talked about it and came up with the conclusion that no matter how much you have there is always something you can give to others.
