Joseph P(Jan 19 2023 7:42PM):
I have been able to see a great deal of growth with my students who have IEPs and 504s. My students are growing in confidence, and I like the progress that has been made as a direct result of this growing confidence.

I am proud of my students whose approach to learning had strengthened as they grow in confidence.
Crystal K(Jan 25 2023 12:24PM):
Crystal K. In my learning space we use a variety of digital tools like FLIP, Bulb, CANVA, and our LMS. But superficially.

I’d like to integrate the digital portfolio as an active part of our learning (not a place to collect 1-2x a semester. I’m also interested in using video and voiceover for composition of various genres.

I'm specifically interested to have students revise things they publish on Youth Voices to the next level toward multimodal compositions.

Most students think that they are finished when the get their assignment posted online. I’d like to have them find more motivation to go a little more multimodal themselves.
Tara B(Jan 19 2023 7:36PM):
My creative writing students are writing for the grade and even though they share in the LMS. I really want them to think about how to reach a broader audience with their work and which tool (blog, vlog, etc.) works to help them reach an audience.

I’m currently at adoption level on the TIM, but hope to reach infusion.
Ben W(Jan 19 2023 7:34PM):
This is where I'm at with assignments in terms of prompts and choice; I attempt to monitor too.

Hoping to be able to monitor better and have students work on their own. Tricky with 9th & 10th graders. Students use Google Classroom to monitor their progress and what needs to be done. Want it to be more transformative and purposeful.
Ashley I(Jan 19 2023 7:38PM):
As a Kindergarten teacher, I am helping students learn how to navigate using technology and build competency skills. I would like to help my students move toward more independence to developed digital literacy skills.
Darshna K(Jan 19 2023 7:42PM):
I have had some success with students who have begun to utilize digital literacies for authentic purposes in my Gender and Popular course.

It is rewarding to watch a student’s progression with both content and adapt digital tools to truly embrace ideas and create projects.
Trevor A(Jan 19 2023 7:43PM):
I'm often stuck between wanting students to have voice/choice and wanting them to develop a deeper understanding of the modes/genres/mediums they use to compose.
Jill S(Jan 20 2023 8:43AM):
I have used technology like Kami, Book Creator and Parlay to connect with other students.
more
I definitely love the tools and how Covid kind of allowed even more outside school connection. My students read chapters of Stamped via Kami and seeing their thoughts with another school was fascinating. I have also used Book Creator to do year-long projects with Bangladesh and Spain. The real audience changes the motivation!
Jill S(Jan 20 2023 8:47AM):
This year I really delved deeper into a self-reflection journal for students to note their "enduring understandings" they have about reading, writing and critical thinking.

I am not sure if or how I get to transformative. I love doing it and reading the kids’ thoughts and seeing how they believe they are growing. I want to expand on this idea and would love help.
Susan H(Jan 22 2023 8:58AM):
I am always looking for ways to have students collaborate in meaningful ways, not just using tools to "use" them.
