    Vashti feels proud of herself when she walks in and sees her artwork framed.  Describe a time in your life when you felt proud of yourself.  Why did you feel proud?  How did your friends, family, and/or classmates respond to your success?  How did that moment of pride impact you in the days, weeks, or months that followed?  Why?

    Art Component: 

    Draw a mark and see where it takes you!  You may use watercolors to draw a dot and make it into a creative, imaginative painting just like Vashti did in the story.
