Wondering if both words could stand out using the same color (black or red or whatever) so viewer’s eye links them together as a 2-word phrase.

Them dancing together would be a step in the direction of dynamism, but even then a logo of 2 people dancing would make me think more like a dance concert/exhibition, something I might go to to watch a folk danc performancee… it doesn’t communicate to me that there will be lots of people dancing and I could be one of them!

Flower is pretty big, my eye is drawn to it (secondarily, black male costume dominates) but as-is I don’t think contributes much to the overall effect.

I’d recommend treating both similarly in terms of realism/abstractness.

It’s also the top one that people will see first, so I think we want that petal to be the strongest, most evocative of whatever our main theme is (e.g. last year was party, with lots of music and dancing).

I like the general abstract feel of the drawing a lot, could be the style we decide to go with, but I think the graphic as a whole would benefit from having (lots of?) active people pictured.
